I’ve lived in and around Kansas City most of my life. My early memories were of life on the farm out by Olathe, Kansas. We moved into Kansas City when I was about 12 years old. I graduated from Center High School in 1972, worked cleaning carpet for a year, then went to Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas. After graduating I joined the family business in carpet sales and cleaning. Later I ran my own installation business for about 15 years. I’ve been doing commercial flooring sales and management since that time. Recently, we have gone into the home rental business which has been challenging and interesting. I enjoy hiking, back-packing, reading, volleyball, snow-skiing, and traveling. I love exploring new places. My wife, Paula has been tremendously helpful in my life. We have 2 boys, David and Daniel in their 20’s.
